How to Enable Two-Factor Authentication for Your Client Area
Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of protection to your Dynamic Servers Limited client area.
Two-factor authentication, often called 2FA, helps protect your account by requiring a second verification step when you log in. This means that even if someone knows your password, they should not be able to access your account without the second authentication code.
Before you start
You will need an authenticator app on your mobile phone. Common options include:
- Google Authenticator
- Microsoft Authenticator
- Authy
- 1Password
- Bitwarden
How to enable two-factor authentication
- Log in to your Dynamic Servers Limited client area.
- Click your name or account menu.
- Go to Security Settings.
- Select the option to enable two-factor authentication.
- Scan the QR code using your authenticator app.
- Enter the verification code shown in your app.
- Save or download any backup codes shown on screen.
Important
Store your backup codes somewhere safe. If you lose access to your phone, these codes may be needed to regain access to your account.
What happens when I log in?
After enabling 2FA, you will log in using your email address and password as normal. You will then be asked to enter a temporary code from your authenticator app.
What if I lose access to my authenticator app?
If you still have your backup codes, you can use one of them to access your account. If you do not have access to your backup codes, please contact Dynamic Servers Limited support. We may need to complete additional checks before access can be restored.
