Email headers are useful when trying to trace where an email has been sent from. They are also used to catch out fraudsters who may mask email addresses so that it looks like you have received an invoice from a supplier. In this knowledgebase article, we will show you how you can gain access to to the email headers in case we need access to them to trace an email.
- Double click on the email message so that it is opened in its own window.
2. On the Message tab, in the Options section, there is a little button with an arrow in it. Click on it and you have the message options menu with the internet headers in the bottom section.
3. Right-click inside the headers and choose Select All, then right-click again and choose Copy.
4. Close the Message Options window.
5. You should now be looking at the original message window.
6. You can now paste these headers into a support ticket for our team to analyse.
